For most dog owners there is nothing to discuss: If a holiday is planned, the four-legged friend will travel along. In order to enable a relaxed holiday for humans and dogs alike, it is very important that the destination is dog-friendly. Here at the Wagnerhof and at Lake Achensee you will not have to worry: Dogs are always welcome with us!
Four paws on a journey
Your dog will leap for joy! Endless natural trails, discoveries at every corner, babbling streams and a refreshing dip in Lake Achensee will turn your hike with your dog into an adventure. Around Lake Achensee and in the Rofan and Karwendel mountains, you will find more than 500 km of marked hiking trails - this means plenty of exciting tours for two- and four-legged hikers. And best of all: Dogs are allowed to swim in the nearby Lake Achensee! The cool water will delight your water-loving dog during the warm summer months.
Dog beach
You will find a dog beach in Pertisau on the lakeside promenade (just when you reach the tunnel/avalanche gallery). The beach is 800 m2 and includes a poop bag dispenser, benches and two metal stairways with paw-friendly perforated steel plates. There is also a ramp which makes it easier for dogs to get out of the water. Everything that the heart of water-loving four-legged friends desires during the dog holidays in Tyrol.

And at the Hotel Wagnerhof? We will do our best to make sure that small and big furry noses have just as enjoyable a stay as their two-legged companions.
The following applies to the restaurant: You are welcome to take your dog with you to meals, as long as your dog’s snout does not reach the edge of the table (height of approx. 60 cm). This applies to our main restaurant for breakfast and dinner and of course to our sun terrace all day. We ask for your understanding that only one dog per table may accompany you.
Treats for your dog
Bowls and a dog towel will await you in your room. The blanket that your dog is used to or its basket may be brought from home. Please also keep in mind to pack enough of your dog's food. After all, dogs’ diets are a very individual matter, as you know.
We charge € 18.00 per night and per dog (over 30 kg € 28 per night & per dog).
If you bring two dogs, we charge a one-time final cleaning fee of € 49.00. We reserve the right also to charge it in some instances.

- In all means of public transport (Regiobus Achensee and ski busses)
- In the Rofan cable car in Maurach
- In the Karwendel cable car
- On all ships of the Achenseeschifffahrt
- In all carriages of the Achensee steam rack railway
- In front of schools and childcare facilities
- On playgrounds

Something unforeseen can always happen. For these cases, you will find competent veterinary practices in Jenbach, 20 minutes away from Hotel Wagnerhof in Tyrol.
